Our Services
Our probate and estate management process follows a standard path:
- A short review with the executors or administrators where we gather information on the estate and discuss how much help you need
- Agreeing on the services to be provided and our fees
- Gathering all the information, including the will and ensuring all assets in the estate are valued correctly. Note that even if you have no will, we can still help – provide the process will not be considered contentious.
- Making the necessary filings to HMRC and HMCTS (the Courts and Tribunals Service) which includes applying for the grant of representation (i.e. probate if there is a will).
- Preparing the estate accounts as required and administering the estate.
- Finally distributing the assets to the correct beneficiaries.
Early on we will agree on how much you do and how much our team will act on your behalf. We will aim to make this difficult period as efficient as possible, applying our knowledge and experience to best effect.
Our Fees
We hope to provide a cost effective service, and will agree a fee that we hope will not lead to any surprises. We provide our time at a standard rate and agree the time we expect the work to take, adding on disbursements such as probate fees. This will be transparent to you and will be based on the effort and complexity of the estate.
Benefits

The most complex areas of estate management are usually down to the valuation of the estate and how this is administered. This is where you need accountants to keep track of the numbers to ensure you get it right.
